We are pleased to announce a contest for the best portrayal of characters introduced in SIW. If you are skilled in capturing male beauty in your paintings/ drawings, we will be delighted to see your contest entry.

Both digital and traditional media are allowed
Contestants must be members of SIW. (you can join here seductiveinkwell.deviantart.co…)
Characters potrayed must come from the Character Pool for this contest
Crossovers are not allowed in this contest (in other words, only characters belonging to a single writer are allowed in one painting/ drawing)
Please contact the character's owner for more detailed descriptions, ref pics etc. in a private note before you start working on your contest entry. (This is not to limit your artistic freedom but to pay respect to the characters and their owners. As writers, we have spent endless hours in working with our characters and they are very close to our hearts. Naturally we want to see them portrayed in a way that is true to their descriptions, relationships and realm realities. From this reason it is very important that you do contact the respective character owner before commencing your work to ensure that you have a good understanding of the men you've chosen to portray. The information in the character pool journal is just a springboard serving for a character selection and is not meant as an exhaustive source of information).
Mature content is allowed as long as it is tasteful, has a mature filter on and has been agreed upon with the respective characters' owner.
Works will only be accepted into the contest based on approval of the respective character owner (in the form of a comment on your artwork).
All works need to give proper copyright credit to the character owner to be admitted in the contest (please agree with him/her on wording)
You choose the poses, number of characters you want to include, backround etc. but please make sure you stay true to the character descriptions and the nature of their relationships and take the realm realities into consideration when deciding on the background.
There isn't a limit on the number of contest entries you can submit. However please limit your entries to works you are truly proud of.
Artworks have to be created specifically for this contest and submitted after the contest announcement
Deadline is 16 July 2012, 22:00 CET



To submit your work into the contest, please comment on this journal with a link to your artwork you wish to submit. Please make sure that when you do so, you will already have the characters' owner approval in the form of a comment on your artwork's page. Works without such an approval and/ or without a copyright credit will not be accepted into the contest. If we accept your contest entry, we will post a reply to your comment, stating: "Accepted for the contest."
Important note: We are a literature group, which means we do not have folders in the gallery that would be dedicated to graphic arts. Please do not try to submit your works to gallery folders. They will be declined and you will be notified to submit your work as described above.

Judging will be public, in the form of voting in a poll (polls if we get more than 10 entries). If we have a tie-in in any of the winning positions, we will run an additional round of voting for the tied-in entries to determine the final result. (For example: if we have a clear winner and two entries tied-in for the 2nd and 3rd place, we will only run the additional round of voting for the two tied-in entries to decide which will claim the second and which will get the third place).
